Warsaw-based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days in the office/month)

As a Windows Administrator, you will be working for our client, one of the leaders in online banking, responsible for managing and maintaining a high-availability IT environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and security of Windows servers and related systems. This position offers the opportunity to engage in complex projects involving virtualized environments, system automation, and continuous improvement of infrastructure for a large-scale user base, enhancing the digital banking experience for thousands of users.

Your main responsibilities: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (2003/2008/2012) to ensure high availability

  • Administer and configure MSCS, NLB, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies
  • Implement and oversee Patch Management processes
  • Provide support for two or more technologies, such as SharePoint 2013, MS Exchange, or Citrix (XenApp/XenDesktop)
  • Configure and manage IP protocols for network connectivity
  • Create and maintain scripts in PowerShell, VBS, or T-SQL for automation tasks
  • Design and deploy MS SQL clusters
  • Collaborate on network and Kubernetes container management
  • Implement deployment automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and TeamCity
  • Monitor systems and resolve technical issues promptly

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Higher education; preferred technical fields (computer science, electronics)
  • At least 3 years of experience in the role of IT Systems Administrator in large organizations (min. 1000 users)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012 server operating systems, with an emphasis on ensuring high availability.
  • Proficient in MSCS, NLB, Active Directory services, server and application virtualization technologies
  • Programming skills in scripting languages like PowerShell and VBS
  • Knowledge of Patch Management concepts
  • Good knowledge of at least two of the following technologies: SharePoint 2013, MS Exchange 2010/2013, TMG, MS LYNC 2013, Citrix (e.g., XenApp, XenDesktop)
  • Practical knowledge of IP protocols
  • MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access at an intermediate user level
  • Communicative knowledge of English, both spoken and written
  • Experience with administration of MS SQL databases
  • Experience with designing and implementing of MS SQL clusters
  • Ability to script in at least one technology, e.g., PowerShell, T-SQL, Python
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies
  • Experience with deployment automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, TeamCity
