Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office)

As a Java Developer – Mobile POD, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution focused on delivering cutting-edge mobile banking solutions. You will be enhancing their backend systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and stability of their services. You will be collaborating within a fast-paced, DevOps environment, contributing to platform improvements, and providing support as needed.

Your main responsibilities: Debugging existing code, extending functionality, and fixing issues if any

• Writing and maintaining REST APIs within a microservice architecture
• Writing sensible tests to verify functionalities and endpoints
• Implementing security around functionalities, services, and endpoints
• Participating in platform improvement initiatives for performance and stability
• Collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Designing database schemas, with PostgreSQL knowledge being beneficial
• Working with CI/CD tooling to streamline development processes
• Providing production support on a rotational basis
• Rapidly learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong knowledge of Java
• Proven experience in debugging and enhancing existing code
• Familiarity with microservice architecture and REST API development
• Experience in writing automated tests for functionalities and endpoints
• Understanding of security best practices for backend systems
• Experience with CI/CD tooling
• Ability to contribute to performance and stability improvements
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills
• Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Motivation to continuously learn and improve

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with DevOps POD structures and practices
• Experience in providing production support
