Java Developer

As a Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading global investment bank. You will be part of a dynamic team in the Systematic Trading Strategies Engineering group, where you will be developing complex indices across various asset classes such as FX, Commodities, Rates, and Single Stocks. The project focuses on building low-latency systems that handle significant trading volumes daily, crucial to the bank’s trading operations. You will work on designing, developing, and optimizing critical trading infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

Warsaw-based opportunity (5 days a week from an office located in the city centre).

Your main responsibilities: Develop and maintain Java applications for trading strategies

• Collaborate with a team of experienced full-stack developers
• Implement sound programming principles, including design patterns and unit testing
• Work with modern SDLC workflows, source control, and CI/CD pipelines
• Enhance system performance and reliability

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 4 years of commercial Java development experience
• Strong understanding of programming principles and design patterns
• Experience with modern SDLC workflows and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
• (Nice to have) – Knowledge of low-latency, garbage-free programming
• (Nice to have) – Appreciation for good design principles and event sourcing systems
• A degree in a technical subject (computing/maths) is ideal but not essential
