As a Java Software Developer in the Surveillance Data Factory, you will be working for our client, a global banking institution, within the MSS Surveillance IT team. Your role involves contributing to the development of strategic products under the Surveillance Data Factory team, supporting and enhancing surveillance methodologies to ensure regulatory compliance.

Your main responsibilities:

• Support backlog management and ticket prioritization
• Analyze requirements and refine stories
• Contribute to sprint planning and ticket estimation
• Develop software solutions and deliver them into UAT and production
• Contribute to the evolution of the team’s roadmap
• Develop automation testing for ticket acceptance criteria
• Attend Agile forums and project meetings
• Organize and contribute to pod-level discussions
• Maintain high standards of quality and adhere to project standards

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong Core Java skills
• Proficiency in Spring frameworks and Apache Kafka
• Experience with Apache Hadoop, including Spark and HDFS
• Competence in SQL and Unix/Shell scripting
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder interaction
• Knowledge of XML/XSLT and unit testing
• Familiarity with continuous integration and build solutions (Maven/Jenkins/Bamboo)
• Understanding of DevOps tooling
• Adherence to bank and project standards related to IT development

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Familiarity with Spring Integration and Spring Batch frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to take on responsibility with minimal supervision
• Proven communication skills with project managers and developers
• Experience in service/operations management environments
• Track record of delivering successful software projects
• Understanding of surveillance techniques in the industry
• Ability to contribute to business success with an enterprise-wide mindset
• Good understanding of surveillance techniques utilized across the industry
