As a Junior Project Manager, you will be working for our client, a prominent financial institution driving transformation in its data and regulatory frameworks. This initiative focuses on aligning projects with strategic objectives, delivering regulatory requirements, and enhancing project governance. You will collaborate with diverse teams, lead change initiatives, and ensure effective project delivery in a dynamic global environment.

Your main responsibilities: Collaborating with the Programme Manager to align projects with portfolio strategy

  • Building stakeholder buy-in around project plans, commitments, and changes
  • Establishing robust project governance and clear sponsorship frameworks
  • Partnering with Scrum Masters to facilitate Agile ceremonies
  • Highlighting and resolving risks, issues, and dependencies to maintain progress
  • Managing baselined scope, requirements, benefits, schedule, and budgets
  • Developing assurance and sign-off packs for regulatory deliverables
  • Leading change initiatives and ensuring compliance with the client’s frameworks
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders and senior management globally
  • Delivering projects on time and within budget while meeting stated outcomes

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Extensive project management experience, including large and complex global projects
  • Strong knowledge of financial institutions and regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and impactful communication skills
  • Proven track record of delivering on-time, on-budget projects with business outcomes
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools
  • Experience in data quality remediation and lifecycle management
  • Ability to create high-standard project documentation and assurance packs
  • Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented approach with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Agile certifications such as SAFe
  • Familiarity with HSBC standards and processes
  • Experience delivering PRA/EBA regulatory projects
  • Success in a global matrix organization model
  • Knowledge of advanced project management tools and methodologies
