Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Kotlin (Java) Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution developing an advanced compliance transparency platform called ICE (IT Compliance Engine). This Kotlin-based web application and set of APIs provide control owners and development teams with insights into their compliance status across various software development controls. The project involves building and enhancing a microservice architecture using modern coding techniques while ensuring high-quality delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Your main responsibilities: Collaborating with developers, testers, and the wider organization to build and run the ICE product

  • Designing, developing, and implementing front-end and back-end features according to backlog and priority
  • Working with the engineering team to design and launch new features
  • Proactively working with customers to resolve issues and respond to feature requests
  • Building APIs and microservices that address critical business problems
  • Operating in an Agile CI/CD environment to deliver rapid iterations at a consistent pace
  • Participating in peer reviews and testing others’ code through automated test scripting

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Experience in Kotlin (or Java with a willingness to learn Kotlin)
  • Proficiency in at least two or three of the following: API development, SQL/databases, HTML/JavaScript
  • Strong technical and analytical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies, including Jira/Confluence
  • Understanding of microservices architecture
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience in test automation
  • Good working knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience building CI toolchains using Jenkins CI/CD
  • A background in Systems Administration across Linux/AIX/WAS platforms
