As a Group Finance Ledger Strategy Lead Architect, you will be working for our client, a leading digital-first bank focused on delivering innovative financial solutions at scale. You will be part of the Ellipse Programme, responsible for designing and ensuring the integrity of the Finance and Cross Functions ecosystem while supporting the migration of selected European systems to a Group Standard Architecture. You will collaborate with global stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment, guiding architecture principles, and providing clear, effective solutions for complex business requirements.

Your main responsibilities: Designing and maintaining the overall architecture for the Finance and Cross Functions ecosystem within the Ellipse Programme

  • Supporting Client Department transformation initiatives by focusing on Models, Data, Reporting, and architecture alignment for new services
  • Collaborating with senior architects to ensure alignment with architectural strategies, standards, and policies
  • Translating vision into actionable strategies, considering practical implementation and operational aspects
  • Ensuring solution designs are approved by relevant authorities and key design decisions are appropriately documented
  • Capturing and analyzing business requirements to create effective IT solution designs
  • Engaging with delivery teams to ensure architecture understanding and implementation
  • Providing guidance and promoting architecture principles to technology and business partners
  • Coaching and mentoring project delivery teams to achieve successful business outcomes
  • Acting as a domain expert and escalation point for complex architectural challenges

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Strong experience working with stakeholders across various disciplines, including business analysts, product owners, testing teams, and technical experts
  • Proven ability to create clear, concise architecture solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and adaptability to changing landscapes
  • Effective collaboration skills, particularly in matrixed environments involving Software Engineering and Scrum teams
  • In-depth experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies in scalable environments
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate them effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on business acumen and commercial outlook
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills to guide teams towards successful outcomes
  • High situational awareness and ability to react appropriately to evolving circumstances
  • Experience in designing and implementing enterprise architecture solutions

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Familiarity with architecture principles and standards in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of strategic alignment processes for enterprise architecture
  • Experience with migration projects involving large-scale systems
