As an MSSQL Application DBA, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution, within the CTO Database Tooling & Inventory POD. Your primary focus will be on uplifting the existing Database Inventory tool to ensure compliance and regulatory adherence. You’ll collaborate with team members across different locations and engage with internal users worldwide.

Your main responsibilities:

• Uplifting the existing Database Inventory tool for compliance
• Developing, implementing, and supporting automation for common or complex activities
• Delivering solutions based on customer requirements
• Designing and building monitoring reports and dashboards
• Providing support and best practices to users
• Contributing to team support and knowledge sharing
• Handling administrative tasks related to workload management and change processes

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 4+ years of relevant experience
• MSSQL Application DBA experience
• Proficiency in Git and GitHub
• Experience with scripting or programming languages
• Ability to understand and simplify database design
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Independent working ability and willingness
• Proactive mindset and ownership sense
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for global interactions

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of automation products like Ansible and Jenkins
• Previous experience in application design simplification
• Understanding of creating solutions consuming APIs
• Willingness to work in UK business hours (10-18 PL time)
