As a Portfolio Manager, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution. You’ll be responsible for managing portfolios and projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and driving delivery excellence.

Your main responsibilities:

• Manage the project/portfolio approach, securing stakeholder buy-in and facilitating project plan adherence
• Support Technology teams in proactively managing delivery, balancing scope, schedule, and resources
• Drive improvements in productivity through backlog management and Agile methodologies
• Maintain focus on project alignment with wider program objectives
• Monitor and report progress, issues, and risks, influencing decision-making for delivery and benefits realization
• Enforce process discipline and improvements in agile software delivery and DevOps pipelines
• Assist in developing and running the program management office
• Ensure adherence to standard controls and drive compliance across teams
• Establish effective governance and controls in line with business frameworks

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Experience in portfolio or project management within the financial sector
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to drive process improvements and ensure compliance
• Demonstrated ability to manage risks and dependencies effectively
• Experience in managing technology projects and understanding of technology architecture

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certification in project management
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards
• Experience working in a global organization with cross-functional teams
