As a Business Analyst you will be working for our client, a leading international technology service company specializing in industrial engineering and innovative solutions. You will join a dynamic team dedicated to driving the energy transition across Europe. This role is central to a key project focused on redesigning and optimizing business processes for major players in the energy market. You will be instrumental in analyzing complex business needs, navigating the evolving regulatory landscape, and architecting innovative solutions that support the shift towards sustainable energy. Your expertise will directly contribute to developing systems that enhance efficiency and ensure compliance in this rapidly changing and vital industry.
Your main responsibilities: Analyze business processes of clients in the energy sector and propose improvements based on best practices
- Gather and specify business and system requirements in cooperation with stakeholders
- Cooperate with IT and business teams during the design and implementation of solutions
- Monitor regulatory changes and market trends in the energy sector and analyze their impact on client operations
- Design business solutions by preparing concepts for process improvements and requirements for IT systems
- Create analytical documentation, including process descriptions, requirement specifications, and analysis reports
- Support implementation and testing by participating in acceptance tests of developed solutions
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Previous experience in a similar role such as Business Analyst or Consultant, preferably in the energy industry
- Proficiency in business process modeling and requirements analysis using notations like BPMN or UML
- Demonstrated ability to gather and define requirements through client workshops and write specifications like User Stories or Use Cases
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and translate business needs into technical language
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum project methodologies
- Fluency in Polish and English (minimum B2/C1 level), German (minimum B1)
- Developed soft skills, including complex problem-solving, proactivity, and autonomy
- In-depth knowledge of the energy sector, including the electricity and gas market models in Poland and Europe
- Familiarity with key EU regulations shaping the industry, such as REMIT, EMIR, or the Fit for 55 package
- An understanding of energy trading standards and the functioning of key market institutions
