Kraków – based opportunity with 100% remote work model

As a C++ Developer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution focused on delivering cutting-edge quantitative solutions across multiple markets. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of a high-performance Quant Library primarily built on C++ and Python. Your work will involve enhancing the core modules of this library, ensuring compliance with internal development standards, and optimizing processes for various teams across multiple locations.

Your main responsibilities: Developing core modules of the Quant Library in C++ and Python, including API clients and grid computing

  • Managing library releases to ensure consistent and efficient distribution
  • Refactoring existing code with a strategic vision to enhance performance
  • Enforcing testing culture and promoting coding best practices within the team
  • Providing training to the PC Analytics team and broader Finance department
  • Ensuring processes are compliant with internal development and model policies
  • Collaborating effectively with a diverse team across locations, including London, Bangalore, and Paris

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with C++
  • Good knowledge of Python
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet timelines
  • Familiarity with coding best practices and testing methodologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a global team
  • A proactive and organized approach to problem-solving
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • A Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related numerical subject (Maths, Physics)

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Knowledge of C#
  • Experience working within a quantitative finance environment
