As a Data Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution. You will join a dedicated team focused on enhancing network security and observability through cutting-edge data solutions. Your role involves analyzing large datasets, optimizing data processes, and delivering actionable insights that drive security improvements. Collaborating with data engineers, machine learning experts, and application developers, you will leverage modern tools like Azure Databricks to transform network traffic data into meaningful solutions for global operations.
Your main responsibilities:
- Performing in-depth analysis of complex datasets to extract insights and detect issues
- Developing reusable scripts for data collection, cleaning, and validation across sources
- Visualizing findings with clear charts, dashboards, and graphs for diverse audiences
- Collaborating with stakeholders to align data solutions with business objectives
- Maintaining documentation of processes, methodologies, and key insights
- Using software development best practices to create maintainable data tools
- Adopting Agile and test-driven development practices in project workflows
- Supporting the development of data pipelines and analytics processes
- Optimizing big data analytics using frameworks like PySpark and Spark SQL
- Presenting actionable insights that improve cybersecurity policies and tools
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and pipeline development
- Experience with big data platforms like Azure Databricks
- Strong skills in data visualization and presenting insights to varied stakeholders
- Expertise in working with PySpark and Spark SQL for big data processing
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Willingness to learn and grow in the cybersecurity domain
- Ability to document technical processes and findings effectively
- Enthusiasm for applying analytics to enhance network security
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience working with machine learning frameworks for data analysis
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and network observability challenges
- Knowledge of additional data visualization tools or techniques
