As a Data Privacy Manager, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services, dedicated to creating robust frameworks for data protection and compliance. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and enhancing cookie governance and privacy practices across the organization’s digital platforms. Collaborating with global privacy teams and stakeholders, you will ensure adherence to cookie regulations, troubleshoot technical challenges, and support compliance efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of privacy, technology, and governance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance on global best practices for cookie management and similar technologies
  • Conducting and recording Cookie Privacy Assessments and supporting stakeholders in addressing considerations
  • Drafting and updating Cookie Notices for a wide range of websites
  • Investigating and resolving issues related to tracking tools and their root causes
  • Troubleshooting cookie scanning failures and modifying scans as necessary
  • Reporting to Privacy Forums and management on compliance risks, issues, and remediation status
  • Advising on and creating alerts via Consent Logging Solution dashboards
  • Identifying privacy compliance gaps, proposing remediation, and tracking progress to resolution
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure process improvements and seamless operations
  • Communicating technical and non-technical insights to diverse stakeholders, simplifying complex issues

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Familiarity with privacy issues and regulations impacting cookies
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both technical and non-technical
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at different levels
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and in teams
  • Effective time management and organizational skills for handling multiple initiatives
  • Experience in advising on compliance gaps and tracking remediation progress
  • Strong reporting skills, including presenting risks and compliance updates to forums

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Knowledge of cookie regulations and ad-tech technologies
  • Experience with Consent Management Systems and tracker scanning tools such as ObservePoint
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and MS Office Suite
  • High-level understanding of mobile architecture and development lifecycles (iOS and Android)
  • Background in SharePoint management or similar collaboration platforms
