Depositary Services Analyst

As a Depositary Services Analyst you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution supporting millions of customers worldwide. You will join a dynamic team responsible for delivering high-quality depositary monitoring services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and trusteeship responsibilities. This role offers exposure to complex financial processes, where accuracy and efficiency are essential. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients, contributing to process improvements and supporting projects that strengthen financial control and operational excellence.

Your main responsibilities: Perform daily reconciliation of general ledger balances to sub-ledgers

  • Prepare reconciliation packages and maintain supporting documentation
  • Identify and resolve accounting exceptions and mismatched items
  • Monitor and report on aged breaks within balance sheet accounts
  • Analyse recurring issues and contribute to process improvements
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and business partners
  • Respond to requests from the Balance Sheet Substantiation team
  • Ensure timely completion of financial reporting deliverables
  • Maintain strong client and third-party administrator relationships
  • Support Business Managers with ad hoc tasks
  • Coordinate onboarding of new clients, processes, and solutions within the team

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Experience in reconciliations, depositary services, or fund accounting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial systems
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong organisational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
