Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office)

As an IT Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, on a strategic initiative focused on developing AI-based solutions to streamline and enhance business processes. The project involves deep collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate complex business needs into detailed technical requirements. You will be acting as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clarity, precision, and alignment at every stage of the software delivery lifecycle. Your input will directly influence the success of innovative data-driven products within a highly regulated environment.

Your main responsibilities: Collaborating with stakeholders to elicit and clarify business and system requirements

  • Documenting functional and non-functional requirements using industry-standard techniques
  • Translating business processes into user stories, workflows, and data models
  • Working alongside developers and architects to align technical solutions with business goals
  • Ensuring requirements are clearly communicated, validated, and traceable throughout the project
  • Supporting iterative development processes such as sprint planning and backlog grooming
  • Analyzing existing systems and identifying opportunities for AI-based enhancements
  • Reviewing deliverables to ensure alignment with documented specifications
  • Ensuring data quality and security considerations are integrated into requirements
  • Maintaining effective communication across technical and business teams

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in software delivery
  • Strong ability to capture, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements
  • Proficiency in iterative or rapid application development methodologies
  • Skilled in translating data insights into relevant business and functional specifications
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile environments with Scrum or Kanban
  • Solid understanding of user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog management
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience facilitating communication between technical and non-technical teams
  • Familiarity with requirement modeling tools and diagramming techniques
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Knowledge of Microservices architecture and design principles
  • Experience working on AI-based or machine learning-driven solutions
  • Background in the banking or financial services industry
  • Ability to co-design solutions with developers and product owners
  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance in regulated environments
  • Experience in process mapping and business model generation
  • Familiarity with modern API and integration concepts
  • Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines from a business analyst’s perspective
  • Understanding of data governance and data lineage
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and services
