As an Oracle DBA, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, participating in a transformative Trade Programme. This project involves collaboration with IT teams and stakeholders across various international locations, including Hong Kong, China, India, the UK, and Poland. You will be responsible for ensuring database infrastructure stability, managing high availability setups, and optimizing performance. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge database technologies and maintain robust database environments.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Providing technical and process guidance to project teams and database support members
  • Consulting on database performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization
  • Maintaining high availability and replication setups, including capacity and disaster recovery planning
  • Reviewing service level agreements to proactively identify capacity issues and recommend changes
  • Collaborating with application teams to implement modifications in demand and capacity
  • Troubleshooting incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and providing solutions to prevent future occurrences
  • Offering guidance and consultation to infrastructure, application, support, and engineering teams
  • Assisting in designing and managing Oracle Golden Gate replication solutions
  • Assessing, analyzing, developing, documenting, and implementing changes based on requests for change
  • Managing Oracle environments, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timely deliverables
  • Monitoring Golden Gate replication processes and resolving issues promptly

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • 8-10 years of experience in Oracle Database administration
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle 12c and 19c
  • Proficiency with Oracle Golden Gate Microservices and Delphix
  • Expertise in Real Application Cluster (RAC), DataGuard, and Grid Control
  • Strong skills in configuration and management of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OMS)
  • Experience with performance tuning tools, including AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports
  • Knowledge of database backup and recovery processes (RMAN and RAC)
  • Good understanding of scripting languages like Shell/Python
  • Strong experience in database patching, configuration, and migration

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, and Ansible
  • Knowledge of additional ITID technologies such as Unix, WebSphere, and MS SQL
  • Expertise in database-related automation
