As a PMO, you will be working for our client, a global leader in the financial sector, ensuring the governance, metrics, and reporting for a dynamic portfolio of data-driven projects. You will lead the implementation of methodologies and processes, providing assurance and challenge to drive safe, effective change. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects within an innovative team, where you will support the remediation of critical data quality issues and help drive cultural transformation across data governance and strategy.
Your main responsibilities: Supporting programme managers to deliver projects within cost, quality, and timeline objectives
- Monitoring and escalating risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID) to resolution
- Managing delivery governance in alignment with established frameworks
- Tracking benefits and objectives against targets to ensure alignment with business goals
- Promoting quality reporting of project statuses, milestones, and deliverables
- Implementing standards for project documentation, ensuring compliance with guidelines
- Providing support for setup, tracking, and closure activities, including post-implementation reviews
- Acting as a subject matter expert on governance frameworks, offering training and advice
- Facilitating knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and promoting best practices in delivery
- Advising on the use of Agile tools, including Jira and Confluence
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a PMO role
- Experience managing data-related change, preferably within financial services
- Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban
- Expertise in Agile tools like Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with global standards and processes within large organizations
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders across various levels and disciplines
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing process improvements
- Fluent English
- The ability to manage and prioritize multiple workstreams effectively
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Familiarity with financial institution standards and processes
- Experience working in a global matrix organization
