Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office)
As a Product Control Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution that is driving transformation across its markets business. You will be supporting initiatives that improve profit and loss reporting, balance sheet transparency, and valuation control. By collaborating with global teams, you are contributing to change projects, analyzing complex datasets, and ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory standards. This role is focusing on bridging business and technology, engaging stakeholders, and enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting frameworks.
Your main responsibilities: Supporting front-to-back processes for P&L and balance sheet reporting
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define and deliver business requirements
- Analyzing datasets to extract insights and drive working group discussions
- Documenting user stories and requirements for change initiatives
- Identifying risks in deliverables and escalating to supervisors and stakeholders
- Partnering with control functions to support valuations and adjustments
- Contributing to initiatives on fair value measurements and disclosures
- Engaging with global teams to support cross-border change programs
- Monitoring progress of deliverables and ensuring compliance with internal standards
- Promoting continuous improvement in reporting and control processes
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- 3–5 years of experience within a Product Control function
- Strong knowledge of corporate markets products such as cash, derivatives, or structured instruments
- Proven understanding of P&L and balance sheet reporting processes
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across global teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a control-minded approach
- Experience contributing to or delivering strategic change initiatives
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize deliverables with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with valuations control activities such as IPV and valuation adjustments
- Solid grasp of pricing, valuation, and risk factors of traded products
- Awareness of Agile project management methodologies and willingness to learn
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Knowledge of SQL or a willingness to learn technical elements
- Experience with issuer or counterparty credit adjustments such as XVA
- Familiarity with IFRS 13 fair value measurements and related disclosures
- Specialist expertise in market segments such as FX, Debt Markets, or Equities
- Prior experience in valuations control or strategic change functions
