As a Solution Architect, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution with a dedicated Cyber Security department. This project involves enhancing and streamlining their vulnerability management systems, integrating vendor scanning tools, and expanding services on Kubernetes. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring secure development practices, reviewing change requests, and supporting the engineering team in delivering robust and compliant solutions.
Your main responsibilities:
- Leading the technical design of systems and services in the Cyber Security Assurance and Testing (CSAT) space
- Developing and supporting architectural artifacts, including Architecture Impact Assessments and Solution Design documents
- Driving technical and architectural requirements to meet business needs while aligning with security strategies
- Advising on security-related technologies and assessing risks associated with proposed changes
- Delivering architectural patterns and supporting quality assurance initiatives in the engineering team
- Interacting with and influencing senior stakeholders across departments
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align the security data management system with business objectives
- Staying abreast of emerging technologies and security trends to enhance system capabilities
- Justifying and communicating design decisions effectively
- Ensuring design documentation is approved at necessary governance forums
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Extensive experience in information security and IT risk management with a focus on security, performance, and reliability
- Strong expertise in cloud technologies and integration with on-prem data centers, particularly Kubernetes and GCP
- 5+ years of experience owning and developing application and service architectures, including CI/CD pipelines
- Good experience in developing and maintaining functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with a Business Analyst
- Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization
- Good understanding of SDLC foundations and software delivery, including DevOps and DevSecOps culture
- Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions
- Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business acumen, and commercial outlook
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Knowledge of Security Scanning tools and platforms, including Nessus, Nessus IQ, Checkmarx, and Netsparker, Aquasec
- Knowledge of Vulnerability Scanning Capabilities (MAST, DAST, SAST, IAC, FOSS/SCA, Cloud, Infrastructure)
- Proven experience in managing large datasets and complex data pipelines
