Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (1 day/week in the office).
As a Quantitative Developer with Python, you will be working for our client, a global leader in risk analytics. The project involves developing advanced quantitative models and methodologies to assess financial and operational risks. You will be working alongside a team of experts to enhance enterprise-wide compliance and risk management tools. This is a mid/senior-level role based in Kraków, where you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to build and maintain cutting-edge solutions for the financial services industry.
Your main responsibilities: Developing and maintaining quantitative libraries in Python
- Collaborating with GRA Quantitative Modellers, IT teams, and Front Office
- Working on REST API for trade pricing
- Ensuring the robustness and scalability of risk models
- Implementing algorithms and data structures for efficient data processing
- Conducting code reviews and ensuring best practices are followed
- Participating in agile sprints and contributing to project planning
- Building synergies across different teams and functions
- Integrating solutions with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud)
- Ensuring alignment with software architectural patterns and standards
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Experience in enterprise development using Python
- Intermediate knowledge of Python 3
- Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Familiarity with software architectural patterns
- Knowledge of the application development lifecycle
- Experience with REST API design and integration
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work in an international and collaborative team
- Fluent English
- Experience with cloud technologies (Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud)
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Familiarity with Flask and gRPC
- Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins
- Knowledge of containerization with Docker
- Experience with version control systems like GitHub
- Familiarity with agile development practices
