As a Scrum Master, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution leading innovative technology solutions within their engineering division. You will be responsible for managing Agile processes for two teams within CSAT Engineering, ensuring smooth collaboration and continuous delivery. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business, enabling teams to diagnose and resolve process challenges while fostering an environment of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Your role will be crucial in transforming observations into systemic understanding and driving meaningful, outcome-focused change.

Your main responsibilities: Managing and optimizing Scrum processes for two Agile teams

  • Facilitating Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews
  • Coaching teams on Agile principles, ensuring adherence to best practices
  • Identifying and addressing systemic challenges affecting team performance
  • Promoting transparency and continuous improvement within the development process
  • Collaborating with Product Owners and stakeholders to align development goals
  • Challenging work that does not contribute to genuine engineering improvements
  • Protecting team focus and ensuring productivity is not compromised
  • Resolving conflicts and fostering a culture of open communication
  • Driving targeted interventions to address fundamental dysfunctions

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent) certification
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
  • Strong skills in facilitation, conflict resolution, and situational awareness
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and techniques such as backlog tracking and burndown metrics
  • Proficiency in Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, GitHub, ServiceNow, Jenkins)
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • A track record of seeing commitments through to completion
  • The ability to explain and justify task prioritization to senior management
  • Confidence in cutting work that does not deliver real value
  • A deep understanding of engineering productivity and business impact

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience as a Product Owner
  • Demonstrated ability to champion and implement process improvements
  • Expertise in DevSecOps methodologies
  • Knowledge of software development project lifecycle from inception to delivery
  • Familiarity with financial technology environments
