Krakow-based opportunity with the possibility to work 80% remotely!

As a Tech Lead, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution, on a vital regulatory/compliance project within their investment banking IT organization. Your role will involve protecting stakeholders from illegal activities across various communication channels, such as trading, audio, and electronic communications. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to developing, testing, and deploying code in an agile, cross-functional environment. Your efforts will contribute to the Group Electronic Communication Surveillance (GECS) solution, which analyzes electronic communication traffic for regulatory compliance.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Creating a framework of technical standards and procedures
  • Overseeing software quality and system modifications
  • Guiding team members with troubleshooting technical issues
  • Analyzing existing operations to identify risks and redundancies
  • Providing code guidelines and clear testing expectations to developers
  • Discussing and signing off technical solutions and details
  • Reviewing team pull requests
  • Promoting best practices, principles, methodology, and values
  • Supporting the inner source community and mentoring teams
  • Assisting with demo events and technical TDA presentations
  • Supporting the architect and ensuring all ITSA/NFR tasks are completed
  • Supporting the project manager

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Strong experience in Python 3.9, Shell scripting, and Java 17
  • Proficiency in technologies like Spark, Pandas, Airflow, and Docker
  • Knowledge of database systems such as Postgres, MySQL, and Oracle
  • Familiarity with Hadoop/Cloudera, Elasticsearch, and JVM
  • Expertise in front-end technologies like NodeJS, React, and JavaScript
  • Experience with GCP services including Composer, GCS, Cloud SQL, and Dataproc
  • Proficiency in Jenkins, Groovy, Terraform, and Ansible
  • Understanding of operating systems like RHEL7/8 and Windows Server 2019
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical issue resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience working with international teams across different geographies
  • Self-motivation and a drive to learn and adapt to new challenges
