As a Java Engineer in Equities Context Store / Risk Engine, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution. The Equities Technology team tackles complex challenges in the financial industry, prioritizing Agile and DevOps principles for efficient delivery of business value. We’re seeking talented developers to join our Equity Derivatives IT team, driving innovation in data engine solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing, building, and deploying large-scale systems with Java
• Performance tuning and optimization of Java applications
• Implementing continuous integration using TeamCity and Jenkins
• Developing distributed systems and ensuring concurrency
• Utilizing Spring Boot/JPA for robust server-side development
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Java Developer
• Extensive expertise in Java (versions 11 and up)
• Proven experience in performance tuning and optimization of JVM
• Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD workflows
• Proficiency in Spring Boot/JPA and developing distributed systems
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Proficiency in Python development and scripting
• Experience with Equity Derivatives products and systems
• Knowledge of GCP development, deployment, and operations
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and reactive programming
• Experience working in financial institutions and with cloud computing environments
