As a Data Engineer/Tech Lead Architect, you will be working for our client, a  global organisation of independent audit and advisory with a strong focus on technology solutions. In this role, you will contribute to a high-impact project within the Data team.

Your main responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of data solutions using Microsoft technologies, including Azure, SQL, and Data Lake

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and continuous flow of services
• Architect and optimise data pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
• Oversee data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring other engineers
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Drive best practices in data engineering, including data governance and security
• Participate in planning and effort estimation for user stories
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in data engineering, with a focus on Microsoft technologies
• Proficiency in Azure, SQL, and Data Lake
• Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL processes
• Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
• Familiarity with data governance and security practices
• Experience with Power BI for data visualisation
