API Engineer

As an API Engineer, you will be working for our client on an exciting project involving the implementation and creation of a high-performance decisioning data store for aggregations, custom views, and orchestration of data on the cloud.

Your main responsibilities: Implementing and designing APIs in Springboot, containerizing, and deploying them in GKE

• Writing Dataflow jobs in Java for efficient data processing
• Developing APIs with sub-millisecond response times
• Debugging effectively and coding efficiently while adhering to best practices
• Automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps team
• Ensuring service resilience and meeting recovery time objectives for software solutions
• Collaborating with central teams to incorporate Client’s baseline cloud architecture requirements
• Resolving technical and process blockers for cloud migration/adoption
• Performing various testing (functional, performance, security, etc.)
• Being accountable for end-to-end delivery of infrastructure, business logic, and integration for cloud migration programs

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Experience in designing and implementing APIs, preferably in Springboot
• Proficiency in containerization and deployment on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Hands-on experience with Dataflow jobs in Java
• Strong debugging skills and efficient coding practices
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps principles
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Datadog and GCP Ops Suite
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural, distributed team environment
• Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with cloud-native technologies and architecture design
• Familiarity with Swagger for API documentation
• Understanding of service resilience and recovery time objectives
• Experience in developing applications on Google Cloud Platform services
