Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office).

As a DevOps Engineer you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services, supporting cybersecurity and technology teams in building secure, scalable and highly available platforms. You will be joining a team that is focused on automating and optimizing infrastructure, enhancing system observability, and ensuring the operational resilience of services. This role is ideal for those passionate about system automation, cloud infrastructure, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to contribute across a variety of projects regardless of your current seniority or background in DevOps or SecOps.

Your main responsibilities: Building and maintaining scalable environments for internal projects

  • Automating system workflows and routine processes using scripting and tools
  • Designing and implementing observability solutions for incident prevention and resolution
  • Managing root cause analysis and remediation plans for recurring issues
  • Supporting and leading Agile ceremonies and team coordination efforts
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across cybersecurity and IT teams
  • Maintaining and optimizing large-scale database systems on-prem and in the cloud
  • Investigating new technologies to innovate BAU and strategic projects
  • Mentoring junior team members and sharing best practices
  • Creating and updating technical documentation

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Strong understanding of RHEL systems (RHCE level or equivalent experience)
  • Solid knowledge of IP networking, protocols, and diagnostic tools
  • Experience with Ansible for task automation
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes
  • Awareness of vulnerability management methodologies
  • Understanding of ITIL-based change management
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues
  • Experience working in Agile teams using tools like Jira
  • Knowledge of version control with Git and modern code practices

It’s a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience with Windows Server environments
  • Hands-on with MSSQL or PostgreSQL, including high availability configurations
  • Exposure to public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Ali
  • Familiarity with observability tools like Splunk, Application Dynamics, or xMatters
  • Understanding of scalable architecture and enterprise-level infrastructure
  • Practical experience with containers and virtualization technologies
  • Use of secrets management tools like Hashicorp Vault
  • Working knowledge of database scripting and performance tuning
  • Service management experience with tools like ServiceNOW
  • Previous involvement in cybersecurity initiatives or roles
