Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office).
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution focused on data-driven transformation and digital modernization. You will join a team dedicated to delivering Data Analytics and Machine Learning solutions across both on-premise and cloud platforms. The role encompasses full-stack development responsibilities with a focus on backend systems, automation, infrastructure, and production support. You will be engaging with cross-functional teams, contributing to solution design, coding, debugging, and ensuring efficient, secure, and sustainable software operations in a global environment.
Your main responsibilities: Developing backend components for data analytics solutions in cloud and on-premise
- Implementing system designs, coding patterns, and scalable data structures
- Building automation scripts and operational tools for infrastructure teams
- Troubleshooting issues and resolving system-level defects
- Supporting daily production environments, resolving live incidents, and performing root cause analysis
- Collaborating with global stakeholders to align solution development with business needs
- Writing clear and maintainable technical documentation for developed systems
- Participating in solution testing, validation, and deployment processes
- Analyzing data for problem investigation, reconciliation, and optimization
- Contributing to the continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the team
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- 2+ years of scripting experience with Python, Perl, or Bash
- 2+ years of SQL experience with databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL
- 2+ years of system administration experience on Linux or Windows environments
- 2+ years of experience with networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP and firewalls
- Solid debugging experience using logs, stack traces, and system outputs
- Working knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning processes and associated tools
- Strong understanding of application infrastructure, including OS, network, storage, and databases
- Demonstrated ability to support and troubleshoot live production systems
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Alibaba
- Familiarity with containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Exposure to Airflow or other scheduling tools
- Knowledge of patch management strategies and tools
- Experience in working within Agile environments and cross-functional teams
