Data Support Engineer

This is a Wrocław-based hybrid opportunity – 3 days from home per week.

As a Data Support Engineer, you will be working for our client – a global leader in quantitative and systematic investment management. You will be responsible for supporting quantitative researchers and traders in navigating and using extensive datasets.

Your main responsibilities: Provide first-line support to researchers and traders for data access and usage

• Collaborate with data engineers to resolve data issues
• Onboard new hires and train them on using data tools and processes efficiently
• Manage JIRA workflows, track support requests, and ensure timely resolution of data issues
• Contribute to data documentation
• Extend data coverage through live collection and backfills

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
• Experience in data support, IT helpdesk, or technical support, ideally within finance
• Strong command of Python and data libraries
• Proficiency with data systems, pipelines, and APIs
• Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools
• Strong problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail
