As an Automation Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services currently enhancing its IT infrastructure with cutting-edge automation. You will be contributing to the design, development, and optimization of automated solutions that span on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Focused on improving operational efficiency and reliability, this role plays a key part in integrating CI/CD practices, scripting automation workflows, and collaborating across teams. You’ll be supporting the delivery of scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure through modern automation frameworks and continuous innovation.

Your main responsibilities: Creating and maintaining scripts and workflows to automate infrastructure tasks

  • Designing monitoring and observability tools for full automation coverage
  • Collaborating with DevOps and IT teams on cloud and hybrid automation
  • Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
  • Automating testing workflows to ensure production readiness
  • Writing and maintaining scripts in Python, PowerShell or equivalent languages
  • Troubleshooting and resolving automation failures in a timely manner
  • Optimizing automation processes for scalability and high performance
  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to technical best practices
  • Documenting automation workflows and maintaining technical standards

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Proven experience in infrastructure automation for on-prem environments
  • Proficiency in scripting with Python, PowerShell or similar languages
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Jenkins
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Experience managing Linux-based distributed platforms and virtual machines
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional technical teams
  • Clear communication skills and attention to documentation
  • Capacity to manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to automation quality, testing, and continuous improvement

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization technologies
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and automation through API integrations
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
  • Background in automating hybrid cloud infrastructure
  • Understanding of infrastructure as code principles and tools
  • Exposure to Agile or DevSecOps delivery frameworks
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate new automation tools
  • Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with automated testing strategies in CI/CD pipelines
  • Involvement in designing resilient automation architectures
