Cloud FinOps Technical Engineer

As a Cloud FinOps Technical Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution engaged in a transformative cloud project. This initiative focuses on optimizing cloud expenditure, automating cloud services, and creating bespoke cloud solutions to enhance operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

Your main responsibilities:

• Implementing technologies for reporting, billing, and optimization of cloud spend
• Creating and implementing automated practices and policies for cloud services
• Developing bespoke cloud solutions for stakeholders
• Coordinating with platform engineers for optimization analysis and planning on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alicloud)
• Liaising with CSP platform teams to discuss the creation and technical implementation of new FinOps practices and policies

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Excellent understanding of the major cloud providers’ product offerings and existing relationship with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alicloud)
• Proven experience with Python, Java, or another OOP programming language
• Hands-on programming experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure
• Solid experience with DevOps practices such as GitOps, Terraform infrastructure management, and Jenkins CI/CD
• Proactive and self-motivated approach
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others
• Strong cross-group collaboration and communication skills
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Cloud certifications
