As a Data Engineer, you will be working for our client, an innovative consultancy helping organizations harness the power of modern data technologies. In this role, you’ll take part in building reliable data platforms that support complex analytics environments. Working within cloud-native infrastructure, you’ll be responsible for enabling seamless data workflows and supporting teams in delivering insights at scale. This position requires close collaboration with both engineering and analytics stakeholders to ensure that the data ecosystem is secure, scalable, and aligned with technical and business goals.
Your main responsibilities: Work alongside Platform Engineers to select the most effective tools and technologies for each project
- Establish standards and rules for data protection and secure processing
- Write clean, well-tested code following modern engineering practices
- Offer technical guidance on architecture and system design based on client use cases
- Monitor and ensure compliance with legal and industry data security standards
- Support the implementation of internal practices related to technology and team collaboration
- Lead internal sessions and share knowledge across teams
- Build and manage robust ETL and ELT pipelines for data processing
- Integrate modern data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake into client environments
- Contribute to discussions aimed at identifying opportunities for data infrastructure improvements
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Strong command of Python and SQL in a data engineering context
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
- Understanding of best practices in software development and architecture
- Experience working with public cloud environments like AWS, Azure or GCP
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect or Dagster
- Knowledge of container tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
- Practical understanding of ETL and ELT design patterns
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Analytical mindset with an eye for scalable solutions
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and mentoring others
