As a Design Engineer you will be working for our client, a global leader in the financial sector, on a transformative project that ensures secure and efficient technological solutions across the organization. This role focuses on producing and maintaining end-to-end solution designs while addressing technical risks and ensuring adherence to high cybersecurity standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable, efficient designs that align with business needs, all while promoting strong documentation practices and supporting project lifecycle management.

Your main responsibilities: Producing and maintaining end-to-end solution designs in line with reference architecture and business requirements

• Translating requirements into architectures that meet customer needs and business outcomes
• Articulating and documenting key design decisions and ensuring a transparent decision-making process
• Identifying and mitigating technical risks or issues arising from solution designs
• Promoting strong documentation practices and ensuring approval of any design deviations
• Managing and escalating both technical and project risks or issues effectively
• Collaborating with engineering and test teams within the program to ensure design accuracy
• Reviewing peer designs within the Privileged Access Management (PAM) team
• Mapping design decisions to potential risks and articulating solutions to mitigate impact
• Ensuring all solutions are efficient, cost-effective, and timely throughout their lifecycle

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Proven experience in cybersecurity design and architecture
• Strong understanding of end-to-end solution design and reference architecture principles
• Ability to document, articulate, and gain approval for design decisions and deviations
• Experience in identifying and managing technical risks and dependencies
• Proficiency in translating complex requirements into scalable and secure solutions
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including engineering and testing
• Strong knowledge of technical security motivations and risk management
• Experience in promoting documentation standards and practices
• Understanding of project lifecycle management in a technical context

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in the financial services sector or a global organization
• Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions
• Knowledge of risk remediation strategies and security governance
• Experience performing peer reviews for cybersecurity designs
• Expertise in addressing technical debt within solution architectures
