As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a prominent financial institution dedicated to pioneering data-driven innovation and operational excellence. You will be part of a team that builds and maintains scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure to support cutting-edge projects. This role is integral to automating workflows, enhancing cybersecurity, and ensuring the stability of high-stakes environments. Your main responsibilities:
- Managing, configuring, and optimizing Linux (RHEL) operating systems for secure, efficient performance
- Designing and implementing network security measures, including firewalls and proxies, to protect infrastructure
- Automating workflows and deployments using Ansible and Terraform for streamlined efficiency
- Overseeing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with tools like Jenkins
- Monitoring and maintaining high availability through observability practices such as logging, alerting, and performance tracking
- Coordinating and supporting incident management and troubleshooting for complex systems and network configurations
- Collaborating across teams to deliver scalable solutions that align with cybersecurity standards
- Assisting with vulnerability management to ensure secure data handling across all environments
- Documenting processes and updates to support seamless team communication and knowledge sharing
- Leading service improvement initiatives to advance automation and operational efficiency
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Proficiency in Linux (RHEL) management, with experience configuring and troubleshooting in enterprise environments
- Strong IP networking knowledge, including routing, subnetting, and security protocols
- Hands-on experience with automation tools, particularly Ansible, for repeatable task management
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices, including setting up and managing Jenkins pipelines
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash and Python to automate processes
- Demonstrated experience in vulnerability management and proactive security practices
- Background in managing containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Effective stakeholder management skills with experience in collaborative projects across IT teams
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) with a focus on infrastructure automation
- Familiarity with ITIL processes for change and incident management
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with Windows Server environments
- Database management experience with MSSQL or PostgreSQL
- Hands-on knowledge of observability tools like Splunk and Application Dynamics
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, particularly using Terraform
- Experience with agile methodologies, including Jira and ServiceNow for project and service management
