As a DevOps Engineer, you will become an integral part of our client’s technology team, a prominent player in the financial sector. Your focus will be on their core Common Revaluation Data (CRD) application, a globally utilized system that aggregates and distributes crucial price data to various consumers through a unified API. This application is vital for their Middle Office operations, ensuring data consistency for end-of-day revaluations. You will be responsible for maintaining the health and efficiency of the application’s environment, which leverages technologies like Kubernetes and containerization, and play a role in streamlining processes and resolving any operational challenges that may arise.
Your main responsibilities: Support the daily execution of end-of-day data deliveries for the CRD application
- Provide expertise and support for PL/SQL applications and database concepts
- Handle and resolve incidents according to the client’s Service Level Agreements
- Continuously analyze application and infrastructure performance issues
- Coordinate changes in alignment with the client’s established standards
- Adhere to and update procedural documentation following the client’s templates
- Prioritize optimization and the implementation of automation strategies
- Update and maintain monitoring systems, including Grafana and Splunk
- Verify events within IT systems based on generated alerts
- Offer support for applications operating in a Kubernetes environment
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Experience working as Application Support/DevOps within a k8s environment
- Demonstrated experience with container-based applications
- Proficiency in using Splunk and Grafana for monitoring purposes
- Strong analytical abilities for troubleshooting and debugging
- A proven ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Fluency in English, both in spoken and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- A solid understanding of complex SQL queries, including aggregate and analytical functions
- Experience in handling and resolving incidents efficiently
- A focus on continuous analysis of application and infrastructure performance
