DevOps / SecOps Engineer

As a DevOps / SecOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution. Your role will involve driving service improvement through automation and innovation, focusing on various aspects of infrastructure management and security.

Your main responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining database systems on-premises and in the cloud
• Automating workflows and processes to ensure system reliability and efficiency
• Implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting for incident management and capacity tracking
• Conducting root cause analysis for major incidents and managing service delivery
• Collaborating with stakeholders across Cybersecurity and IT teams to develop and maintain protective solutions
• Investigating and delivering innovation within the Cybersecurity team for both BAU and strategic projects

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong understanding of RedHat (RHEL) and IP networking
• Proficiency in Ansible for automation tasks
• Good scripting skills for task optimization
• Knowledge of CI/CD  tools: Jenkins
• Understanding of Vulnerability and Change Management processes

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or Ali
• Implementing observability with tools like Application Dynamics, Splunk, xMatters
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Helm
• Databases: MSSQL, PostgreSQL
• Containerization, Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes; GKE
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in culturally diverse teams
• Code: Bash, Python, PowerShell
• Secrets management: Hashicorp Vault
• Artifact repository: Nexus
• ITIL / Agile delivery experince: Jira, Service Now
• Experience with similar but not identical tools also acceptable eg. ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Oracle
• Ability to adapt and understand new technologies, with a self-motivated learning attitude
