Front End Developer

Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Front End Developer, you will be working for our client, a global financial services company dedicated to providing high-quality technology solutions within their Global Markets Technology division. You will be part of a small, collaborative team responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from analysis and testing to production support. The role involves developing scalable web applications, maintaining existing systems, and ensuring seamless integration between various components while adhering to high standards of accessibility and performance.

Your main responsibilities: Working within a team of 4–6 people with a dedicated product owner

• Taking business requirements, dividing them into stories, and delivering each story iteratively to production
• Providing product support as part of the development process, following the “the team builds it, the team supports it” approach
• Identifying areas of technical debt and ensuring a balanced prioritization between tech debt and new functionality
• Designing solutions for new items while adhering to technology guidelines and constraints
• Pairing with other team members to enhance productivity and knowledge sharing

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Demonstrable experience with JavaScript, CSS, and Node.js (client & server)
• Awareness of best accessibility practices and knowledge of how to implement them (A11y)
• Working knowledge of Unix systems
• Understanding of databases from a consumer perspective
• Knowledge of HTTP APIs, such as RESTful APIs
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• UX design knowledge and the ability to propose improvements to business requirements
