As an AVP – Data Analytics, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution driving innovation in risk management and compliance. You will support their mission to deliver precise, timely, and insightful data for model development and regulatory compliance. By collaborating with global teams, you will work on cutting-edge data architecture, ETL pipelines, and data governance to empower finance and compliance professionals while improving data quality and reporting processes.

Your main responsibilities: Collaborating with model development and monitoring teams to gather and analyze data requirements

  • Building, testing, and maintaining ETL pipelines to support data ingestion and transformation
  • Monitoring and improving data quality, addressing issues, and ensuring compliance with governance standards
  • Developing visualizations and dashboards to present insights effectively to stakeholders
  • Analyzing complex data architecture to ensure robust and scalable solutions
  • Managing relationships across cross-functional teams, including senior business stakeholders
  • Designing roadmaps for future-state data, application, and business process architecture
  • Leading process improvement initiatives to enhance data analytics capabilities
  • Supporting platform security, capacity management, and user onboarding processes
  • Driving collaboration with global teams to deliver on key data projects

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Relevant experience in data analytics or a similar role
  • A Bachelor’s degree in IT or a numerate discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred
  • Proficiency in at least one programming tool such as Python, SQL, PySpark, or SAS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and similar tools for project management
  • Business analysis skills, including requirements gathering and specification
  • Experience in working with complex data architectures
  • Effective communication skills to work within a global team
  • An open and adaptable personality with strong organizational skills
  • A working knowledge of IT and analytics practices

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience with Hadoop Big Data frameworks or Prophecy
  • Knowledge of banking risk data, systems, or models
  • Previous experience in data governance and regulatory compliance
  • Understanding of Wholesale Credit Risk data management practices
  • Familiarity with peer benchmarking processes in financial risk
