Warsaw/Vienna based opportunity with the possibility to work entirely remotely

As a Data Engineer you will be working for our client, a leading corporate, investment and retail bank with a secure presence in Europe, offering a wide range of financial services including leasing or asset management services. You will be part of the data transformation program, supporting the implementation of our client’s significant concepts across all global divisions and taking an active role in the creation of final products.

Your main responsibilities: Work with Delivery Manager and Domain Leads on supporting business use cases

• Work as Data Engineer in AWS/Databricks, Denodo/SQL, Teradata/SQL environments providing ETL support
• Manage on Data Product Lifecycle supporting business use cases on demand
• Work as t-shaped technical engineer for Domain Lead/Delivery Manager in delivering Data Products from data sourcing to data consumption
• Supporting Delivery Manager and Tech Lead on delivery of Program artifacts
• Work with core Data Mesh, Data Transformation team, learn new concepts and give a constructive feedback to shape further Federated Data Governance / Data Product Lifecycle
• Work closely with agile delivery teams having gaps on technical skills and data engineering resources
• Become a trainer and coach for future Data Product Engineers

You’re ideal for the role if you have:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Data Modeller or similar
• Proficient in SQL, R or Python
• Experience working with project managers or key delivery leads in agile setups
• Business experience within CRM, banking/finance, markets, adv. Analytics or AI beneficial to support business use cases and business needs
• High communication skills and data literacy (data modelling)
• Experience working on projects on the verge of business and IT
• Ability to work and succeed in a multinational environment
• Good structuring, communication and presentation skills
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

•  Familiarity with Databricks, AWS and Denodo
