Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office)
As a Data Security Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution committed to safeguarding sensitive information and supporting regulatory compliance across its worldwide operations. You will be playing a key role in implementing data discovery solutions, ensuring server stability, and collaborating with stakeholders to protect structured and unstructured data. By contributing to strategic initiatives and daily operational excellence, you are supporting the client’s mission to enhance data security, maintain compliance, and continuously improve the effectiveness of its information protection frameworks.
Your main responsibilities: Managing structured and unstructured data discovery activities
- Setting up and configuring data discovery tools
- Running scans to identify and secure sensitive data
- Maintaining servers and performing daily BAU activities
- Supporting service owners with system health checks
- Completing required process tasks to ensure compliance
- Collaborating with stakeholders on data security projects
- Monitoring and documenting tool performance and results
- Troubleshooting and resolving data security tool issues
- Driving continuous improvements in data discovery processes
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Proven experience in operational management using relevant tools and techniques
- Strong knowledge of data security frameworks, standards, and regulatory acts
- Hands-on experience with Symantec/Broadcom Data Discovery or Veritas Data Insight
- Excellent understanding of building and deploying data security tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to deliver solutions in complex environments
- Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in Cyber or IT roles
- Experience in IT service continuity, change, or incident management
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across global teams
- Ability to work effectively in highly regulated environments
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience working in a financial services organization
- Familiarity with additional data discovery or encryption products
- Knowledge of CIS, NIST, and EU privacy and data security acts
- Proven track record in data integration strategies
- Certifications in information security such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
