DBA DevOps Engineer

Krakow-based opportunity with the possibility to work 100% remotely!

As a DBA DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, on a transformative project focusing on IT infrastructure and security enhancement.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining large-scale database systems on-premises and in the cloud
  • Automating workflows and processes to ensure system reliability and efficiency
  • Implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to support incident management
  • Conducting root cause analysis for major incidents and managing service delivery
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and maintain solutions that protect the company

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Strong understanding of MSSQL and PostgreSQL database engines
  • Proficiency in SQL and database design principles
  • Experience with ITIL compliant Change and Incident Management processes
  • Knowledge of RHEL, Windows Server, and cloud-based databases-as-a-service
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible and scripting languages
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Delivery tools and vulnerability management processes

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience with Scrum methodologies and Agile team management
  • Knowledge of:
    • RedHat (RHEL)
    • Windows Server
    • Cloud: GCP, AWS, Azure, Ali
    • Monitoring: Application Dynamics
    • ITIL / Agile delivery experience: Jira, Service Now
    • IP networking and network security
    • Automation / Configuration as Code: Ansible
    • Troubleshooting skills
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Helm
    • Containerization, Orchestration: Docker,
    • Kubernetes; GKE
    • Logging: Splunk
    • Code: Bash, Python, PowerShell
    • An understanding of the Vulnerability Management processes
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and collaborate effectively in a diverse team environment
  • Experience working with Audit, and Compliance requests and procedures
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Previous experience in cybersecurity or financial sectors
  • Implementing and maintaining highly scalable and resilient platforms and applications
