Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution undergoing a major technology transformation. Focused on automation, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD modernization, this role supports the development and maintenance of internal control tooling within the Chief Technology Office. You will help drive the adoption of cutting-edge deployment practices while ensuring governance, scalability, and resilience across hybrid cloud environments. By working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, you will shape standards, improve deployment quality, and contribute to one of the most impactful transformation programs within the organization.

Your main responsibilities: Writing and maintaining code in DevOps-focused languages like Python, Terraform, or Ansible

  • Supporting and managing internal control tooling for deployment automation
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues across CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure
  • Defining service quality targets and overseeing deployment lifecycle
  • Contributing to documentation, best practices, and internal tooling standards
  • Participating in production support or on-call rotations as needed
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions across hybrid and public cloud platforms
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to align deployment processes with compliance needs
  • Continuously improving DevOps tooling and practices across Clients department platforms
  • Monitoring infrastructure health and ensuring reliability and performance of services

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in CI/CD or DevOps engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of tools like Jenkins, Terraform, or similar IaC tools
  • Experience deploying and managing infrastructure on hybrid or public cloud environments
  • Proficiency in scripting or development with Python, Ansible, or comparable languages
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes or managing virtualized environments
  • Background in Site Reliability Engineering, SDLC, or secure software development
  • Familiarity with architecture and design patterns for CI/CD and deployment automation
  • Strong grasp of regulatory controls, risk management, and deployment governance
  • Ability to solve technical problems across diverse engineering domains
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams

It’s a strong plus if you have:

  • Prior experience in a large, regulated enterprise or financial services environment
  • Exposure to enterprise-grade DevOps environments, networks, and firewalls
  • Experience designing internal tooling for deployment governance or controls automation
  • Hands-on involvement with observability, release engineering, or endpoint management
  • Certifications in Kubernetes, Terraform, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
