Full Stack Engineer

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, on a transformative project focused on modernizing their core banking systems. This initiative involves developing and supporting both back-end and front-end services for processing payments, including SEPA, SWIFT messages, and internal entries. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the infrastructure with Java, Spring Boot, and ReactJS, while implementing modern integration techniques and automation testing to optimize and streamline their payment systems.

Your main responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining services using Java with Spring Boot
• Supporting and enhancing back-end and front-end applications for payments processing
• Managing payment services portfolio on cloud and on-premises hosting
• Building and maintaining service-related interfaces with APIs or microservices patterns
• Utilizing tools like Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, and Nexus for artifact management
• Following Agile and DevOps methodologies with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
• Collaborating with Business Analysts and Project/Product Managers to convert business requirements into development sprints
• Implementing automation testing frameworks to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Increasing Straight-Through-Processing (STP) capabilities of services
• Adopting modern integration approaches using APIs, MuleSoft, Kafka, and microservices patterns

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Proficiency in Java 8+, with experience in Java 17+ preferred
• Knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
• Strong understanding of database technologies and SQL, with Oracle preferred
• Experience with ReSTful microservices and APIs
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, and other artifact management tools
• Experience in a DevOps delivery team
• Understanding of HTTP web technologies and JavaScript, with React preferred
• Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with modern integration tools and patterns such as MuleSoft, Kafka, and microservices
• Exposure to automation testing frameworks and techniques
• Familiarity with cloud and on-premises hosting environments
