Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office).

As an IT Service Owner, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution engaged in continuous digital transformation. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of critical IT services, ensuring their performance, compliance, and alignment with business needs. This role supports services spanning development, testing, production, and contingency environments, requiring proactive planning and collaboration across multiple teams. You will be at the forefront of driving operational excellence, service stability, and risk mitigation while enhancing visibility and communication between technical and business stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities: Managing the full lifecycle of assigned IT services across environments

  • Ensuring adherence to internal governance and compliance standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align service performance with business expectations
  • Planning for service upgrades, capacity needs, and technology refreshes
  • Monitoring and improving the reliability and stability of IT services
  • Acting as the main escalation point for service-related issues
  • Coordinating responses and regular reviews through delegation and consolidation of inputs
  • Maintaining accurate service inventories and documentation
  • Communicating service performance and improvements to stakeholders
  • Supporting audits and risk assessments related to IT services

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT Service Management, Infrastructure/Software support, or Project Management
  • Solid understanding of ITIL methodologies, particularly in service continuity, incident, problem, and change management
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Experience building effective relationships with stakeholders across teams
  • Familiarity with governance and risk compliance frameworks
  • A proactive mindset and a can-do attitude
  • The ability to coordinate cross-team activities and deliverables
  • Good working knowledge of IT environments, including production and UAT
  • Experience working with service inventory or asset management tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change quickly

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience with Windows, Linux, or Oracle database environments
  • Prior exposure to working in a large-scale, global enterprise
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and collaboration with cyber teams
  • Experience in capacity planning and evergreening of services
  • Background in vendor or third-party service coordination
