Power BI Data Analyst

Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office).

As a Power BI Data Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global leader in digital finance, on a large-scale cybersecurity data initiative. The team is developing a robust Network Security Data Lakehouse within an Azure-based ecosystem, leveraging Databricks and a medallion architecture. You will play a key role in transforming raw security data into actionable insights, building interactive dashboards, and ensuring stakeholders have access to reliable and insightful visualizations. This is a highly collaborative and analytical role within a fast-paced, data-driven cybersecurity environment.

Your main responsibilities: Building interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI

  • Gathering and transforming data using SQL and Python
  • Collaborating with engineers to prepare data in the Azure Lakehouse
  • Enhancing datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns
  • Managing, publishing, and maintaining dashboards in Power BI Service
  • Ensuring regular dashboard refreshes and troubleshooting issues
  • Engaging with stakeholders to define reporting needs and gather feedback
  • Conducting analytics on large-scale IT network security data
  • Using Databricks for data preprocessing and enrichment
  • Supporting end-users with demos, training, and dashboard documentation

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data manipulation
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles
  • Experience working with large datasets in a data lake environment
  • Familiarity with data quality assurance and cleansing techniques
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in publishing and managing dashboards within an enterprise environment
  • Ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of working in a cybersecurity or IT data context

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience with Apache Spark or PySpark
  • Hands-on knowledge of the Databricks platform
  • Understanding of medallion architecture in data lakehouses
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Lake or similar cloud platforms
  • Exposure to cybersecurity datasets or network security metrics
