As a Python Quant Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution renowned for developing advanced risk models to manage a wide range of financial and operational risks. You will join the Traded Risk Financial Engineering team, focusing on the development and maintenance of a quantitative library. This role involves collaborating closely with Quantitative Modellers, IT teams, and the Front Office to transform code into production-ready services and create synergies across departments.
Your main responsibilities:
- Transforming code from quantitative teams into production-ready services
- Developing a quantitative library in Python
- Collaborating with GRA Quantitative Modellers, IT teams, and Front Office
- Ensuring the robustness and reliability of risk models and methodologies
- Enhancing enterprise-wide compliance with cutting-edge tools
- Managing and optimizing the code repository for risk models
- Implementing best practices in software development and deployment
- Supporting the maintenance and updates of existing quantitative tools
- Facilitating communication and collaboration across different functions
- Providing technical support and guidance to team members
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Experience in enterprise development in Python or other languages such as C++/C, Java, C#, R, or MATLAB
- Intermediate knowledge of Python 3
- Understanding of software architectural patterns
- Knowledge of the application development lifecycle
- Familiarity with agile practices
- Understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Fluent English
- Ability and flexibility to work in an international team
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes (k8s), Google Cloud, or Apache Beam
- Knowledge of data analysis libraries such as pandas and numpy
- Experience with SQL and database management
- Familiarity with cloud storage solutions like Amazon S3
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Nexus
- Proficiency in developing interactive dashboards with Dash
