Security Engineer – Antimalware Endpoint Security

As a Security Engineer – Antimalware Endpoint Security you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution committed to leveraging advanced cybersecurity measures to protect its digital assets and infrastructure. You will be part of the Global Cybersecurity Core Engineering team, focusing on designing, developing, and deploying comprehensive endpoint security solutions to mitigate threats and ensure compliance across the organization’s IT environment. This role requires close collaboration with various teams to implement cutting-edge security technologies and maintain robust antimalware defenses.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with Linux management teams and other IT teams to develop security solutions
  • Designing and driving the implementation of service offerings and process improvements
  • Providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise on endpoint security and antimalware issues
  • Reviewing and documenting the current baseline and developing target technology posture
  • Performing gap analysis and implementing necessary changes
  • Re-engineering domain processes to improve performance with new technologies
  • Providing centralized, global cybersecurity services to reduce associated costs
  • Operating a first line of defense to ensure IT compliance
  • Researching and managing third-party vendors to support functional objectives
  • Leading transformational change and capability uplift across the cybersecurity organization

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Linux, preferably in information security focusing on endpoint security and antimalware controls
  • Exposure to CrowdStrike or similar endpoint protection tools
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and tools including AWS, Azure, GIT, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing endpoint/antimalware security solutions
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve desired outcomes and goals
  • Experience understanding and evaluating cybersecurity requirements from business partners
  • Knowledge of current security risks, vulnerabilities, and mitigations for desktop and server operating systems
  • Broad understanding of common network, application, and cloud security controls
  • Knowledge of networking, operating system, and application development fundamentals with a security focus

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Ability to automate common information security tasks in scripting environments/languages such as Python or Perl
  • Experience with application monitoring and production support
  • Broad experience with IT development and collaboration tools
  • Understanding of IT security and application development best practices
  • Interest in various investment products and lifecycle, and knowledge of the investment banking business
  • Experience working in a global team with different cultures
