Senior Business & Systems Analyst (Financial Markets)

As a Senior Business & Systems Analyst (Financial Markets), you will be working for our client in the financial sector, supporting the development of a deposit module at the business/IT interface. You will help translate complex business needs into clear system solutions—driving analysis, process modeling, documentation, and integration to ensure the platform delivers reliable outcomes from transaction lifecycle through testing and optimization.

Your main responsibilities:

• Analyze and document business and system requirements for the deposit module to ensure delivery-ready clarity for engineering teams.

• Model and maintain end-to-end processes using BPMN, including as-is/to-be process views.

• Develop system and business specifications that are structured and prepared for handover into engineering implementation.

• Design solutions and support integrations across front-to-back workflows to ensure consistent behavior throughout the platform.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to refine requirements, clarify impacts, and align on expectations.

• Support test planning and execution, including UAT, to validate expected behavior of the deposit module.

• Write and maintain user stories with Acceptance Criteria (AC) and structured documentation.

• Perform data analysis using SQL to support decision-making and system verification.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business/System Analyst in IT projects, with strong system–business interface skills.

• Strong command of BPMN and end-to-end process modeling (as-is/to-be).

• Experience with financial instruments such as FX Options, IRS, CAP/FLOOR, including understanding of the transaction lifecycle.

• Knowledge of deposit processes and transaction lifecycle fundamentals.

• Solid foundation in valuation basics (e.g., interest rates/curves).

• Ability to perform system analysis and create well-structured specifications.

• Proficiency with SQL and working with business data.

• Working knowledge of UAT/testing fundamentals and requirement-to-test alignment.

• Fluent English communication skills.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Experience in Markets/Treasury.
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with legal regulations relevant to the domain.

Language Required for the role :

• Polish — required (expected level: strong command)
• English — fluent
