Senior C++ Developer

Enhance and Maintain Real-Time Trading Platform Applications with a World Leader in Electronic Trading!

New York City, NY USA – Based role with Full Remote work

As a Senior C++ Developer for our clients App Team, you will work in a C++ environment on Windows to enhance and maintain backend servers used for real-time trading platform applications. As an integral part of its technology plan, our client is looking for a talented, self-motivated individual, to work within the team developing the company’s next generation trading platform.

Your main responsibilities: To contribute during all phases of project lifecycle

• Work with business counterparts to provide technical solutions to client needs.
• Articulate business requirements to stakeholders
• In this role you will also cooperate with QA
• Cooperating with support teams to address issues that arise during development and Testing

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• College degree in computer science or a related discipline,
• Or an equivalent level of technical knowledge required.
• Strong skills in both structural and OO programming, C++: concepts, data structures, patterns, templates, multithreaded programming
• 5+ years’ experience in C++ programming
• Good knowledge of databases and basic SQL
• • Experience with version control system (such as GIT)
• Extensive problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate at all levels within IT and the various Business Units
•  Ability to work independently and within a team, own issues and solve them
• Ability to recognize critical production and client-facing issues, and prioritize them

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in development using Visual Studio on Windows
• Finance background, particularly in Fixed Income
• Experience with Perl and shell scripting
• Good knowledge of communication protocol fundamentals
