As a Senior Cybersecurity Performance Test Engineer, you will be working for a renowned international firm dedicated to advancing cybersecurity resilience through cutting-edge performance testing. You will contribute to pivotal projects ensuring optimal security and efficiency of critical infrastructure, driving innovation and excellence in cybersecurity standards.
Your main responsibilities:
- Design and execute comprehensive performance test plans tailored for security-sensitive systems.
- Develop automated testing scripts using Java and Python to simulate real-world load scenarios.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance under high load.
- Analyze performance data, document results, and propose actionable improvements to enhance security and scalability.
- Ensure testing environments accurately mirror production conditions for reliable assessments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks, prioritizing security implications.
- Align testing practices with industry standards like OWASP, CIS Benchmarks, and other compliance frameworks.
- Maintain detailed documentation of testing procedures, findings, and improvement plans for technical stakeholders.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in performance testing and cybersecurity assessments.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python scripting for automation and test parameterization.
- Hands-on experience with performance tools such as LoadRunner, NeoLoad, JMeter, or similar.
- Knowledge of deploying and testing in cloud environments (preferably GCP or AWS).
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, and security testing tools.
- Familiarity with performance standards like SLAs/SLOs, bottleneck analysis, and system optimization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills in English—both written and verbal.
- Eligibility to work in Europe.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications in cybersecurity or performance testing (e.g., CISSP, CREST, ISTQB).
- Experience working in diverse international teams.
Language required for the role:
Good command of English is necessary to effectively collaborate and document findings.
