As a Senior Java Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, on an innovative project aimed at enhancing customer interaction with banking products and services. The project focuses on developing cutting-edge technology to maximize the benefits of the latest advancements. You’ll join the Third-Party Services team, collaborating with external vendors to provide state-of-the-art products to our global customer base of over 40 million.

Your main responsibilities:

• Defining, building, and testing technical solutions in an agile environment, primarily using Java & JavaScript (React.js) hosted on public cloud
• Writing infrastructure terraform/cloud formation and CI/CD pipelines in Groovy
• Writing unit tests in Spock, end-to-end tests in Cucumber, and contract-based tests in PACT
• Defining architecture and solutions, including research and development on cloud and third-party vendors’ services

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong technical skills in cloud-based technology (AWS, other public clouds desirable) and Java
• DevOps experience, especially with Terraform, would be a big plus
• Quality-driven mindset with the ability to write tests on any level using BDD & TDD approaches
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Familiarity with front-end technologies including JavaScript, Android, and iOS is advantageous
• Comfortable working in an agile environment within a small cross-functional team using XP practices
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Previous experience with Java 17
• Knowledge of internal banking systems
• Familiarity with security protocols and practices
• Experience with serverless architecture
• Understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards
• Currently using Java 11
